If you’ve been following this journal, please understand that the things that I mentioned here are fragments taken from the book during my reading. I like to underline and highlight passages that caught my eyes but I’ve added the Bible references with hyperlink for Bible study. Please don’t just take the author’s word and believe or agree what he says, but do look up the Bible references for clarification if what he is talking about is established in the Word. I am aware of the so many accusations about the author being so far away from telling the Gospel. He’s been labeled by many as a false prophet or a false teacher. As a brother to all, I believe JP is doing his purpose. Who are we to judge? What I noticed about JP in the way he writes is he has BOLDNESS, but not just boldness but also revelation of the Word and knowledge of the Word. If you are not understanding so much from this short summary, please read the entire book yourself. Remember, this is just a book that I’m currently reading and not a doctrine of a religion.
For those that are new to Christianity, please know that when you start your journey with Christ, your life will never be the same. How do I know that? Because I was there. One of the reason that I find time to share with you these things is because most of you will never ever pickup a book about Christ and His Gospel and I want you to just at least taste something and maybe later on you might consider taking steps towards believing Him.
Thank you for spending your time.

Notes/Highlights
Purpose of writing this book
1. not to tell you what is so wrong about you
2. to point out where you have fallen short
3. to declare what is so right about you
4. to share the Good News of Jesus that He did not condemn you
5. to declare that God will never condemn you again.
6. to let you know Jesus died at the cross for you
7. to let you know that His blood been shed for our forgiveness
8. to enlighten you the true meaning of His death-He died for our sins
9. to let you know that Jesus already delivered you from the covenant of law which condemns
10.to let you know that the new covenant is not that hard to fulfill through His loving mercy
The covenant of Grace is much more glorious
The law demands righteousness from sinful man whereas grace imparts righteousness to sinful man
The law demands perfection but will not lift a finger to help
No matter how hard we try, we will always fail
The 10 Commandments Kill (3000 people died) Exodus 32:28
The New Covenant brings life (3000 added to the group) Day of Pentecost Acts 2:41
The law kills but the Spirit brings life
Preaching the 10 commandments does not produce holiness
The strength of the sin is the law 1 Corinthians 15:56-57
We are not under the law but under God’s grace Romans 6:14
First covenant was faulty, need for the new covenant Hebrews 8:7
No man can keep the law, we have to totally depend on God’s grace
God did not give the law for us to keep, He gave the law to bring man to the end of himself, so that he would see his need for a Savior
The purpose of the law is expose our flaws (just like the purpose of a mirror)
The mirror reveals things to us but it cannot do anything to make us look beautiful
If you look in the mirror and you see an ugly man, don’t blame the mirror.
The law is given to magnify our sins Romans 5:20
You cannot make it right by following the law Romans 3:20
The law was a guardian until Christ came Galatians 3:24
You can know the law and be miles and miles away from God
Under the law, all you have is a religion, not a relationship to God
God is after a relationship with us that is dependent on His goodness and His goodness alone.
When man is depending on his efforts, he is bound to fail.
Bible References:
7The old agreement that brought death, written with words on stone, came with God’s glory. In fact, the face of Moses was so bright with glory (a glory that was ending) that the people of Israel could not continue looking at his face. 8So surely the new agreement that comes from the life-giving Spirit has even more glory.
2 Corinthians 3:7-8
28The people from the tribe of Levi obeyed Moses. That day about 3000 of the people died.
Exodus 32:28
41Then those who accepted what Peter said were baptized. On that day about 3000 people were added to the group of believers.
Acts 2:41
Death’s power to hurt is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But we thank God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
